Thing #8
I really like the RSS feeds. It makes a great deal of sense to me that with so much information available that there needs to be a way to properly manage it. I still feel as if the technology needs to be a little more user friendly, but it seems like one of those technologies which will be used a great deal in the future.
Thing #7
I'm learning about new technology as I have the students doing their power-point presentations. I'm a little bit embarrassed to admit it but I've never done a power-point presentation. I'm watching these kids move so fast on their projects and I'm really impressed. They are supposed to present on Friday and I'll be plying them with questions about how they did all that wonderful work.

Thing #6 - Flickr Site!
Okay, so I must have some weird electro-magnetic energy around me because this was the second time I tried to make this work and it failed again, even though Katie sat right beside me and tried to help. I think I've probably given a little over an hour to this task and am now moving on! Let me know if any of you get this to work!

Thing #5
Katie showed me the Flickr site. I thought it was very good, although I noticed that you can't really depend on the search engine. For example, I searched for "dinosaurs" and came up with lots of pictures for things that weren't dinosaurs. The dinosaur picture which was shown, though was inaccurate in identifying the species. They identified a Triceratops as a Styracosaurus. I mean, who makes that mistake?
